hi! i'm lianne, the founder and lead potion maker behind cloud nine collective.

 

for as long as I can remember, i've loved making potions. as a kid, i used to sneak into my mom’s bathroom to concoct mixtures with her fancy lotions and elixirs (sorry mom).

years later, after i developed chronic pain and was diagnosed with ehlers-danlos syndrome, i searched store after store for something to ease my aching muscles and my mind from daily stressors. i decided to take my wellness into my own hands and, as it turns out, the process of creating my own products brings me as much joy as it does relief – even more than store bought.

 

i'm so excited to share my products with you and hope they transport you to cloud nine like they do for me.

we know that the body and homeware market is saturated with options, which is great! and, it also makes decisions a bit more difficult. when you choose C9C, you get premium self-care products that were created with care and intention with an emphasis on extra quality assurance.

 

we are guided by values like sustainability, inclusivity, and community and strive to serve as wide of a variety of customers as possible. our products are hand made by our founder whose main goal is to provide real relief and elevated rejuvenation to every customer. choosing C9C means you’re supporting a small business with big goals that all people can benefit from achieving.

how long will it take to get my order?

you will receive your order as quickly as possible – orders will typically be shipped within 5-10 business days of the order date.

 

C9C is owned and operated by a person who manages chronic illness, and with that comes some unpredictability of physical capacity to produce and package orders. in the event of significant delays with receiving your order, you will hear from us directly. thank you for being a loyal customer!

it appears that the edges of my candle are turning pink. What does that mean and can i still use it? 

yes! due to fluctuating temperatures and excessive heat in the environment, vanillin (the main compound found in vanilla) may cause some harmless visual discoloration. it should not impact the burn of your candle.

do you ship internationally?

we do not ship internationally at this time, but we hope to be able to accommodate international shipping soon!

how do you choose your materials?

we believe in the power of intentional sensory experiences. fragrance is scientifically proven to influence our moods and wellbeing. each of our fragrances is carefully curated and inspired by nostalgic experiences, luxury travel, and a desire to transport you to the clouds or to the ground, wherever you may want to go.

we are committed to a minimal environmental footprint by reducing the amount of waste we produce, prioritizing reusable or earth-friendly materials, and recycling or repurposing leftover materials. we also try our best to patronize companies who do the same. 

what is your shipping process?

processing times range from 1-5 days and shipping times range from 3-7 days. we will do our best to meet these estimates, but cannot guarantee them. we are not responsible for any delays in shipping once it leaves our possession.

 

we also want you to receive your products when they are at their best! during hot months, we will only ship heat-sensitive products from monday-wednesday to prevent any damage that could occur from sitting in a hot truck or warehouse over the weekend. delivery trucks can reach up to 150 degrees!

my candle has reached its end. how can i repurpose the vessel?

don’t throw away your tin! first, melt any leftover wax with a hair dryer or by pouring hot (non-boiling) water into the vessel. then, once cool enough to touch, wipe out the vessel with a paper towel and remove the wick clips with pliers. use rubbing alcohol and a paper towel to remove any remaining wax or wash with warm, soapy water. our favorite ways to give your tin a second life include: jewelry holder, stash jar, car coin tin, or a cozy place for your favorite candy.

what are your products made of?

our candles are made for clean burning, meaning they are nontoxic and feature a vegan coconut soy blend wax, phthalate + paraben free fragrance oils, and lead + zinc free cotton wicks.

we prioritize the use of vegan, cruelty free, biodegradable, and recyclable materials whenever possible. feel free to contact us if you would like more information about our product materials. 

how do you practice sustainability?

we are committed to sustainability by using sensibly sourced and earth-friendly ingredients and materials. from the wax that is mixed and poured into vessels to the paper closure stickers and tape that is used to seal packages, our sustainability practice remains at the forefront of each decision we make.

for example, we reuse as many packaging materials from our suppliers as possible and we repurpose leftover materials that are typically considered “waste” (like wax, pieces of wick, and paper towels) to transform them into firestarters. 

what is your return policy?

if your product(s) appear to be damaged or defective, please contact us asap. if you would like to make a return or exchange, please let us know within 7 days of product delivery.

 

we do not typically offer refunds or accept order cancellations, but will accept exchanges or returns if the product is returned unopened, unused, and in its original packaging. the items must be postmarked for return within 14 days of delivery. we are not responsible for return shipping costs.
